An Open Letter To All Anxiety Sufferers

Dear one..

There is nothing wrong with you. Nope, not one thing. There are plenty of types of anxiety out there but my guess is that you have anxiety because you are so used to giving that you have no more to give. You are exhausted.

You are not your ideal self I know, but that's a part of the problem, your dreams are so big that all you think about is the future. You have lost the present moment and you have lost the truth that you are perfect just the way you are.

You have given away your power and that's okay. We all do it at times. You have said yes so many times and have done so many favors that now your mind body and soul is saying no.

Your anxiety is now your compass. Something that makes you anxious is probably something worth working towards.

You are not going crazy. You are cracking out of your cocoon to become a butterfly. It can be hard leaving behind the other caterpillars - especially when they look so cosy in their cocoons - but you know deep down that you are meant to fly.

You feel guilty for all of the things you felt you couldn't do, and for all of the times you let people down. But your guilt isn't helping anyone.

You mourn your past self. You wish you could be them again. But you can't and you wouldn't want to give up what you have learned.

Your not alone, you never have been and you never will be.

You will get through this. With support, an open mind and a determination to change and learn, you will thrive with anxiety.

Until next time, remember to stay committed to your wellness.

Love Shalee xo
