Trying Vela Days Skincare
When I started this blog I was 23-years old. As I am writing this I am about to turn 33 and a lot of things have changed since then, including my skin.
In my younger years, my skin was pimply, oily, oily, and then oily again. Nowadays, I don’t have to deal with acne so much but instead dry skin (gasp) and some sagging. While I have thoroughly enjoyed the process of ageing and all of the wisdom and self confidence that comes along with it, this doesn’t mean I’m not going to put up a bit of a fight when gravity is trying to do it’s thing.
Cue Vela Days.
Long before I was gallivanting around Melbourne exploring 150-different suburbs and trying all sorts of amazing food, I was a Health Coach. After experiencing my own health issues I dove head first into the wellness world and found myself drinking clay and muscle testing before I made important decisions. While I enjoy more balance these days, I am still cautious when it comes to ingredients.
Thankfully, Vela Days offers hemp seed based products that are not only artificial fragrance free but also cruelty free and vegan. This is a huge bonus for me because while I would like to take care of my skin and enjoy the anti-aging benefits, I will so often get migraines when I try products with a heavy scent.
The Complete 3-Step Process
The 3-Step Process includes:
I am very happy that there are only three steps because as someone with ADHD, the last thing I want is a complicated and lengthy skincare routine. But while this routine is simple, it also feels luxurious. I especially love how warming the cleanser is after rubbing it together in my hands before applying.
After using the products, I felt very dewy and as I am now experiencing dry skin, this was a great feeling. Even before applying the oils, my skin didn’t feel squeaky after using the cleanser which can sometimes happen when products strip you of all your natural oils.
I was also delighted by the packaging as it is clear that this is a brand that is detail orientated. After browsing through their website, I was also impressed to see their commitment to sustainability.
All in all, this is skincare I can see myself using long-term and I am hopeful that I will continue to see results.
